$1,000 Book Review Contest in Australia, How about the US?

by Jane Ciabattari | May-18-2009

NBCC member Janice Harayda of One-Minute Book Reviews passes the word that The Australian Book Review is having a reviewing contest with a $1,000 prize. Entries only from reviewers living in Australia or Australlian citizens living abroad. You can find out more here.  July 31 deadline. Harayda notes, “It might encourage a sponsor in the U.S. to start giving out prizes like that, too. This prize differs from the Pulitzer and NBCC prizes for criticism in that it’s for an unpublished review.” Anyone game for a US version?
