Winner in the fourth installment of the NBCC/Paris Review “Name that Author” contest, with the correct answer (Jack Gilbert) is David Abrams of Forest, Va., who logged in at 5:36 am EST.
Some of the other early answers (incorrect) were Joyce Carol Oates, Rebecca West, Karen von Blixen-Finecke nee Karen Dinesen, pen name Isak Dinesen, and Raymond Carver.
