On the LA Observed blog, past LA Times book editors Sonja Bolle, Digby Diehl, Jack Miles, and Steve Wasserman have released the contents of their letter sharply protesting the newspaper’s plans to eliminate the Sunday book review section. Their verdict on the decision? “A philistine blunder that insults the cultural ambition of the city and the region”
