How To Handle All Those Review Copies

by admin | Mar-12-2008

Like most critics, I’m constantly trying to figure out what to do with all the books I get ... put them over here, put them over there, stack them behind that door and on that table ... and I’m constantly running out of space for them.  I posted now and then about interesting things people can do with their review copies (after reading them, of course).  And here’s my new favorite (especially useful for critics who live in cities):  Bookshelf stairs!  Too cool—where were these when I was living in 500 square feet in New York with what felt like 600 square feet of books?  I got so into this thing, I actually did the entire tour of a stranger’s house just to see how the stairs fit in.
