A Reminder about Board Elections
by admin | Dec-08-2015
If you've ever contemplated running for the NBCC Board, now's your chance. There are nine seats opening after the awards ceremony in March 2016, and we're holding elections. Board members serve for three-year terms and participate in judging the annual NBCC Awards and organizing events. We need you -- please send a brief candidate's statement to Newswire VP Kate Tuttle (kate.tuttle@gmail.com) by Dec. 13. Elections will be held later this month. If you have questions about what's involved, please contact board president Tom Beer (tomnbeer@aol.com).
And please don't forget to send us your nominations for the John Leonard Prize (for best first book in any genre) and for the general NBCC Awards. You should have received SurveyMonkey ballots by email from Tom Beer and John Leonard Prize chair Miriam Markowitz (miriam.markowitz@bookcritics.org). We look forward to hearing from you.
