At the group blog Crooked Timber, a number of writers, including Michael Bérubé, Russell Jacoby, and NBCC board member Scott McLemee, recently conducted an on-line seminar on the occasion of NBCC Balakian winner George Scialabba’s recent book of essays, What Are Intellectuals Good For? A PDF format of the symposium is available at the site as well, and may yet yield a print-on-demand booklet.
