Calling all NBCC Members
NBCC ELECTIONS: Candidate's statements are due on December 3rd
This fall, eight seats will be up for grabs on the board of the National Book Critics Circle. While the board's main efforts revolve around the selection of the books honored at our annual awards ceremony, other duties demand a great deal of attention, including: organizing the awards ceremony, recruiting new members and serving existing ones, contributing to Critical Mass, the NBCC board blog, and producing the NBCC's programs and its Newswire.Fortunately, all this hard work is tremendously rewarding. Each term lasts three years: this round's from March 2010 to March 2013.
If you want to run, please submit a brief candidate statement (no more than 300 words) to newsletter@bookcritics.org by December 3rd. Please write BOARD CANDIDATE STATEMENT in the subject line. You must be a full voting NBCC member with dues paid up to run.
