Talk, Sociability, Literature: what’s not to like?

by Maureen McLane | Jan-24-2009

From our blogging station the most conspicuous book in our view is….THE YALE SHAKESPEARE!!!

What category in which to nominate SHAKESPEARE??

Musings on the weather from Art Winslow, Board Director: “Last year people had to brave a snowstorm!  It’s better this year….”

No, it was the year before, Art corrects…..Last year we announced the finalists in SAN FRANCISCO, at City Lights.

Shout-out to HOUSING WORKS and CITY LIGHTS!!!

Our friendly visitor to the blogging station (see previous post) is now wondering: “Is Jane Mayer who wrote THE DARK SIDE here?”

We’re not sure…perhaps she’s shadowing Cheney in his wheelchaired bunker…..

The NBCC btw is a nonpartisan organization and a nonprofit…...

It’s a big week for literature, literacy and books people!  A president who is an AUTHOR and not ghost-written!  A great inaugural poem! Again, these are the opinions—when they are opinions—only of this blogger, not of the NBCC…..DISCLAIMER…...

General literary/sociable primate chat prevails here in housing works…..
