This Sunday: NBCC at Printers Row Lit Fest

by Mark Athitakis | Jun-06-2012

Attention Chicagoans (or anybody who'll be in Chicago this weekend): The Chicago Tribune's Printers Row Lit Fest will be held June 9 and 10, and the NBCC will be taking part. On June 10 at 11 a.m. on the fest's Center Stage, an NBCC-sponsored panel titled "Literary Prizes: Who Decides?" will take on the issue of literary awards.

Panelists include:

Eric Banks, President, NBCC
Elizabeth Taylor, editor, Chicago Tribune’s Printers Row and NBCC board member
Art Winslow, former NBCC president
Donna Seaman, 2009 finalist for the Nona Balakian Citation

Also that day: Edith Pearlman will discuss her work with Rosellen Brown at 12:30 p.m. in the University Center/Loop Room. Pearlman's fourth story collection, Binocular Vision, won the National Book Critics Circle Award. Her stories have appeared in the Best American Short Stories anthology, The PEN/O. Henry Prize Stories, and the Pushcart Prize.
