This panel, which focused on giving advice to new freelance book reviewers, was held at the Barnes & Noble in Park Slope, on September 19, 2012, in conjunction with the Brooklyn Book Festival. 10% of book sales went to PEN's Writers' Emergency Fund.

Panelists include the editors (from left to right): Luke Degnan (BOMB), Michael Miller (Bookforum), David Propson (Wall Street Journal), John Reed (Brooklyn Rail), Parul Sehgal (New York Times Book Review), & Rob Spillman, (Tin House).

Moderated by author and NBCC board member Susan Shapiro.
