WaPo Update: This Just in from Marcus Brauchli

Responding to our question about the speculation that the Washington Post Book World‘s days are numbered, new Washington Post honcho Marcus Brauchli tells us, “We are absolutely committed to book reviews and coverage of literature, publishing and ideas in The Post. Our readership has a huge interest in these areas.”  Fingers crossed. The Book World,an authoritative national cultural arbiter positioned squarely in the nation’s capitol, is without parallel. And as the Obama inauguration ushers in a new time, reading and book culture—and the WaPo Book World—will be more important than ever.
