When you are tired of bread pudding you are tired of life…..

by Maureen McLane | Jan-24-2009

is what Samuel Johnson might have said.

Elizabeth Taylor and Adam Cohen survey the scene and go to canvas party-goers—they are commissioned to send friendly souls to us at the blogging station, for no blogger is an island…....

The crowds slowly thin but conversations intensify….by a pillar Board Member Marcela Valdes talks with fellow Board Member Eric Banks; and here comes LIZZIE SKURNICK!

Lizzie Skurnick reports a lovely conversation with Troy Patterson, critic of SLATE…

and here is lovely green-skirted Marcela Valdes, member of the Board, retrieving her computer…“It is the portable brain!”

David Orr, another Board member, now reports, “My legs hurt!”  Too much standing and no dinner yet…...

Slowly the crowd begins to disperse…...but there are happy pockets of conviviality continuing…..

and the divine Elizabeth Skurnick has now gone to get wine for the humble livebloggers…...
