Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn—these and other Web 2.0 tools are transforming book criticism.  This will be a craft lecture on using new technology and social networking in books coverage aimed at exploring all the cool Web 2.0 tools, and offering new ideas to help with your critical work and improve your online life.

Sree Sreenivasan is a journalism professor at Columbia University, where he runs the school’s multimedia program and is Dean of Student Affairs. He runs Internet workshops around the country for journalists and other professionals. He is the tech reporter for WNBC-TV, appearing twice a week in the NYC area and occasionally on various NBC News programs (he previously spent six years as the “Tech Guru” on WABC-TV). His work explaining technology to lay readers has appeared in The New York Times, Business Week, Time Digital and Rolling Stone.He is co-founder of SAJA, the South Asian Journalists Association, a group of 1,000+ journalists across the U.S. and Canada. In March 2004, Newsweek named him one of the 20 most influential South Asians in the nation. More on him here and here
