Today, Slate officially announced the arrival of the Slate Book Review, a new monthly feature that will considerably expand upon the website's book coverage. It will be published on the first weekend of each month at www.slate.com/books. There's a sneak preview of the first issue today, with the rest to come tomorrow.
Slate has also created a new Twitter feed, @slatebooks.
The Slate Book Review will not only include writing by many of Slate's regular contributors, but also writers who have never been published in Slate before. Dan Kois, who will edit the review, welcomes pitches of essays, think pieces, trend pieces, analyses of old books, and book-related multimedia projects. He can be reached at Dan.Kois@Slate.com.
